How was Mwangi shot

As previously reported, Mwangi’s case had come to mark the tragic fall of civilian conflict during the 2024 anti -government protest.

On August 8, thousands of Kenyans poured into the streets during what was known as the Eight Ninth protest, a coordinated exhibition of anger against poor regime.

Mwangi, however, was not part of the protest. He was traveling to Karatina, Nyeri County, where he worked to repair the tires.

But when protesters passed his area after being dispersed by police, he was arrested in the chaos.

While security forces fired fire bullets arbitrarily, a bullet spread to his body and cut off his back and changed his life forever.
