The hot session came just a few days after the expulsion of Kenyan activists and political leaders including Martha Karua and former Chief Justice David Maraga.
Geita MP, Joseph Musukuma, led the verbal attack, defending their dismissal and blaming Kenyans for disrespecting the Tanzanian leadership and interfering with the country’s internal affairs.
“This is a free country. Every East African nation deals with its political issues. We have seen what happened recently by the expulsion of activists and leaders. We have also witnessed insults against our President from our Kenyan neighbors,” Said Musukuma.
He said Tanzanian parliamentarians have a responsibility to protect national independence and cannot remain silent when their president is attacked.
“Our security officers did their job hard and restored peace. I urge my fellow MPs to remember that we are representing our citizens and we must talk to them,” he added.
Musukuma despised Kenya and said that Tanzania has nothing to learn from Kenyans, laughing at them by putting English forward than development.
“There is nothing to emulate from Kenya. We are in front of them politically and educated. We are up for everything. Speaking good English is not a priority for us,” He said.
He called on security officers to continue to be careful to prevent what he called “dangerous activism” cross the border.
“Martha Karua and Boniface Mwangi are the leaders of Kenya’s Gen Z. They have already destroyed their country and now they want to bring those habits to us. We have no problem with ordinary Kenyans, our problem is activists, and we are ready to face them,” announced.
Iringa Urban MP, Jesca Msambatavangu, supported Musukuma saying that Tanzania should not be a refuge for non -lawless political opponents.

“We are surrounded by neighbors who see Tanzania as a peaceful island. Our forces have contributed to peacekeeping in this region. We provide peace,” He said.
He denied allegations that Tanzanian youths do not understand as politically as Kenyan, emphasizing that they have been raised by morality, patriotism and diligence.
“Our young men have been morally raised. As a father is the son. He said.
Accordingly, Tanzanian youth cannot be influenced by political turmoil as justice and peace reigns in their country.
Tanzanian MP claims Kenyans have mental health problems
In a more controversial statement, Msambatavangu claimed that many Kenyans are suffering from mental disorders, saying the political severity seen on the Internet reflects the greatest social problems.
“There are so many mental illnesses in Kenya. I was asked why Tanzania was silent despite all the insults. He said, he seemed to refer to him Martha Karua.
He claimed that Tanzanian security officials did the right thing to stop Karua, saying they were helping someone with psychological problems.
“What our security officers did was to stop him. If someone is not mentally healthy, you help him,” He said.
Msambatavangu called on Kenyans to respect their neighbors and directly asked President William Ruto to take action to reduce tension.
“Mr. Ruto, we respect you. Please do something. That’s not democracy in Kenya, it’s violent. He said.
He concluded by criticizing how Kenyan protesters treated the police during The procession of Gen Z by 2024.
“I saw people sending water to the police during the protest, and the police were drinking. That would not be possible in Tanzania,” He said.
Why was Karua expelled in Tanzania?
In a statement previously reported by TUKO.co.ke, the Tanzanian government stated that Kenyan senior leaders including Karua and other activists were expelled for lack of legal permits.
They were attending a treason case against opposition leader Tundu Lissu, but they had no official permission to participate in activist or legal activities in the country.
Despite being officially invited by the East African Association to witness the case, the group was arrested at Julius Nyerere International Airport and later removed from the country.
