A cloud of sadness spread in the parish of Igwamiti Nyahururu as hundreds of mourners gathered at Tabor Hill’s spiritual center to say goodbye to Dr John Maina Ndegwa.

Father Maina, who was very popular, lost his life in a chaotic and cruel way.
A funeral service filled with strong emotions for the 42 -year -old priest attracted a large crowd, including fellow priests, church members, and local leaders who came to honor the servant who was remembered for his humility and service to the Church.
Photos seen by TUKO.co.ke showed a sad event in which the priests carried a white pearl coffin to enter the church field, their faces expressing great sadness.
The coffin was placed near the altar where Catholic worship was conducted calmly, accompanied by the last rites, including burning incense as a symbol of prayer for the deceased.
Maina’s sudden death shocked the nation, as it happened less than two weeks after he welcomed former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua During the Igwamiti Parish Family Day celebrations on April 27.
The priest was reportedly kidnapped by unknown people, attacked a dull device, then thrown along the road in the Kopey, Gilgil area.
Was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Gilgil, but for Luck Worse he died while still undergoing treatment.
His death has left a huge gap in the hearts of believers, many remembering him for his unstable faith, his personality, and commitment to promote the spiritual life of his community.

Did Father Maina once said that his life was in danger?
TUKO.co.ke previously reported that the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) confirmed that the late Padre had stated that he was afraid of his safety before the incident.
