The revelation has raised concerns about the potential for increased threats against political leaders.

Kiplagat revealed that strange letters were left outside his house in Uasin Gishu, warning him not to dare to get out of his room.

“Care!“It read one of the letters allegedly threatened.

Following the threats, Soy residents marched for six hours demanding that the government improve the security of their MP.

Citizens also called on the security department to investigate the incident and to hold responsibility.

“We cannot allow our MP to be killed. We want the Honor to be given adequate protection. Said one resident to Citizen TV.

“We woke up with an amazing event. There is someone distributing threats against our MP. We will not accept that,” added another.

The MP, who is a member of the UDA party led by the President William Rutohe has already reported such threats at the Lake Police Station.

Was the MP Onghao Were expressed concern about his safety?

Kiplagat’s concern comes a few weeks after Kasipul MP, Charles Ong’ongo Were, was shot to death near the City Mortual Roundabout as he left parliament.

The Were family said that the deceased had reported several times about threats against his life to the police but had not received any help.

They blamed the security forces for negligence and direct involvement in the murder incident.

To protect himself, Were began using a white Toyota Crown car for his normal car. Investigators noted that the killers had information about the change, which made it easier to monitor his behavior.

Paul Were, his late brother, said reports that the deceased sent to the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) were not taken seriously. He added that the characters are known.

The family expressed serious concern about the security situation for ordinary citizens.

They said such incidents undermine public confidence in security forces and the government’s ability to protect its people.

Politicians who visited the family also emphasized the need for a thorough and open investigation into the murder of Were.

They demanded that the parties be arrested quickly and brought before the law, emphasizing that if justice is done it will increase the confidence of the people and prevent future attacks.
