I joined a class with 55 students, and I remember I was 53 out of 55 in my first semester. Of course, my uncle told me, ‘You must work hard and read hard,’ but for me, it was a new country. I didn’t know Swahili too, “ He said.

In the second term, Adut showed great progress in his studies, climbing up to 20 out of 55.

He added that no one forced him to go to school, but the desire to learn and gain knowledge was what prompted him to make an effort.

“I was eager to go to school. I would wake up, wear my uniform, and go to school. He said.
