After a 10 -day concern, a 10 -year -old street boy, who was originally feared that he drowned in the dangerous water of the Thiba River, was found alive in a miraculous way.
How a Kirinyaga street boy was saved
Residents and local leaders, who had spent several days in search of the boy at the river, were surprised after the women heading to the morning service to inform them that the boy had been found.
The women saw him near the Thiba River bridge and immediately notified the relevant officials.
“Women were on their way to the church when they saw him.”Said Peter Kaberi, a resident of the area.
It is alleged that the boy escaped home after a dispute with his father, who threatened to punish him. Since then he has been hiding and joining street children in the city.
“When we brought him, assistant chief Mercy Kariuki phoned her mother immediately and also informed her MCA of Tebere ward, Peter Karinga, ” Added a gradual.
In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, the boy’s mother, Elizabeth Mwakali, who was overwhelmed with emotions, expressed her joy of seeing her son again.
“I can’t express my gratitude. I spent 10 days around the river asking for a miracle, and now he is here,” He said with tears.
The local MCA, Peter Karinga, called on parents to be more sympathetic and stop chasing their children up to the streets.
“Some parents are pushing their children indirectly to the street. This boy comes from a challenge family, but we will help him. Said Karinga.
Wilson Murimi, a community elder from full life, said the community had been confusing between continuing the search or starting the funeral contribution plans.
“People did not know how to continue to look for him or start donating for condolences. But today, a full life is celebrating because the boy is alive,” Said Murimi.
The community is now planning to help bring the boy back to school and help the family begin their lives.
