Conflicts over justice and oppression in society have emerged following a terrible video that raised anger among Kenyans.
The video shows Joyce Sigei trying to defend himself in every way as the chief and several men captured and dragged him to the corner of what appeared to be the chief’s office.
In a traumatic event, the men tied him with a rope while screaming for help.
When Sigei tried to get rid of himself and even succeeded in standing and walking for a short time, one of the men continued to hold him with a rope, trying to control him every step.
With a desperate action, he jumped up a bunch of documents and quickly disbanded them in an attempt to fight.
The move sparked new attacks from men who brought him back to the corner as his cries intensify.
What did Joyce Sigei say about the incident?
In an interview with Citizen TV, Sigei explained about the incident at the Morgor chief’s office in Chepalungu. She claimed that her husband was forced to sign the land transfer documents.
He explained that when he asked the chief about his action, he slapped him and ordered a man to bring a rope to wrap his hands so they could continue the land process.
“Chief first tried to wrap me around his neck, but when I opposed, he decided to wrap my hands instead,” Sigei remembered.
She added that the officers used the time to prepare a land transfer certificate for her husband to sign.
When he went to the Chebunyo police station to seek justice, he was not well received but was told to return home.
“A police officer told me the chief had already reported that I had attacked him, and he told me to return home waiting for the arrest,” He said.
Now the woman is calling on the government to intervene saying the land dispute has been long -term.

In a separate event, violence occurred at a funeral in Kisii where The mourners forced the widow to throw the soil in the grave to her ex -husband.
The online video showed Mellen, a mother of two, sitting near the grave and surrounded by men. He seemed to oppose while forcing him to implement the culture.

According to Kisii traditions, the event is meant to be officially fired and to give him a good blessing.
One day after Mellen was bullied, police arrested several people involved. Among those arrested are Lameck Ogindo Osoro, Robert Receive Shari, and Bismark Ondiek Surrement.
