The Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) has announced that Letsile Tebogo, Bayapo Ndori, and Collen Kebinatshipi have withdrawn from the World Relay team.
It is a blow for the country ahead of the highly anticipated event, which runs from Saturday, May 10, to Sunday, May 11, in Guangzhou, China, at the Guangdong Olympic Stadium.

In a statement released on Monday, May 5, the Association noted that Tebogo, Kebinatshipi, and Ndori have withdrawn from the team, citing personal reasons.
“We regret to inform you that three of our men’s 4×400 metres relay team members, namely Letsile Tebogo, Collen Kebinatshipi, and Bayapo Ndori, have officially withdrawn from the team for personal reasons,” read part of the statement.
“The Botswana Athletics Association Board has unanimously agreed that the trio be withdrawn as per their request,” continued the statement.
“The nation must rest assured that the remaining team members will do their best and must rally behind the team as always.”
