A few weeks later, the MP was shot and killed in Nairobi on Wednesday, April 30.
The video, which is now spreading on social networks, shows the horrible nature of a person who knew his life at risk and tried to explain it openly.
In the video, the late MP claimed that five people were planning to kill him, including former ward representative (MCA) from Nairobi.
“There were five. One of them is the former MCA of Nairobi. They went to the same hotel Kisumu And they said openly, ‘We must finish this one,’ “ Were said.
“Four of them do not leave Kasipul, but two are from there, and one is my closest neighbor.”

How did Ombo Were know about the conspiracy to kill him?
According to the MP, the conspirators were unaware that one of the nearest woman, who had been helped to pay a school fee by Were, was listening to their conversation.
The woman was an airline employee and was at the same hotel, drinking soda quietly.
“He looks like a Kikuyu because of his bright skin, so they thought he didn’t understand the Luo,” The MP narrated.
“But he understood every word. He recorded all the conversation on his phone and later sent it to me.”
In other surprising allegations, Were claimed that a senior government official discussed a plan to kill him by using a dismissed police officer.
The MP said the officer shared the plans with a man who, unknowingly, was a close friend of Were.
“He told my closest person that they would wait for a public meeting, such as a funeral where I would be addressing,” Were said.
“They planned to send civilian murderers and inspired the youth of the area to make a mess, and in that case I would be killed.”
Despite the threats, Were seemed calm and strong.
“I don’t have a gun,” He said.
“But I have a Bible. And it’s on my phone.”
