The shock came after their 10 -year -old son, John Wanjala, who had disappeared since January 2024, was found alive, several months after burial the body they thought it was his.
How did Trans Nzoia’s family end up burning the body of their family?
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Benson and Susan Wanjala said they had registered a statement of the disappearance at the Nyakinwa police station after their baby disappeared, but the intense search did not bear fruit.
With the frustration of the unsuccessful search, the family eventually desperate to find their son.
Two months after an unsuccessful search, the body that was paralyzed by an unknown boy was found in the Nzoia River. It was seriously damaged that identification or identification was not possible.
After days of meditation and consultation, the family chose to visit the mortuary of the referral hospital Kitale On May 28, 2024, to look at the body.
Although many family members believed that the body was John, his mother was skeptical, without being convinced that her baby was dead.
“Since the first time I put my eyes on that body, something told me that it wasn’t my son John. Even when we went to the mortuary, my heart convinced me that my son was still alive. Susan narrated.
Benson, tired of the tired and discouraging search, focused on ending it, regardless of his wife’s feelings. In June 2024, they decided to accept a rotten body.
“Despite my wife’s refusal, I struggled because the pain was too much for us to endure,” Benson said.
Even after the body was buried, Susan refused to despair. His instinct told him that he would eventually find his son alive.
How did Trans Nzoia’s family get their son?
Susan’s instincts were proven to be the same. On April 22, the Precious Kids’ children’s house in Kiminini notified of the Valley area after a boy claimed he was leaving the area.
It was then that his family was monitored and eventually found. His mother Wanjala shouted when she was shown a picture of her son.
Susan quickly went to the children’s house, where, after arriving, her baby ran and hugged her tightly.
“To me, my son’s discovery was like a biblical prodigal son who returned to his father. I was very happy and tears of joy flowed from me,” He shared his happiness.
The acquisition of their son made the family apply for the expulsion of the buried body for 13 months.
