Why did Kakamega mourners invade the pastor?

The mourners accused the priest of ignoring the cultural procedures of the funeral during the funeral, thus provoking anger.

This came after the pasta allegedly prevented Joseph Wafula, his late father to send sincere greetings to his son.

Wafula told TV47 that the pasta chose to let a widow talk instead, a move she said went against their culture.

In our culture, the parent must speak in front of the mother -in -law. I did not agree, but the priest insisted that the widow should speak first. That’s when the mourners rejected it saying it was against our culture, ” Wafula said.
