Kisii: Mom comes from Lebanon with nothing, at home finding her aunt for all the money she was sending

Despite receiving KSh 20,000 every month while working in Lebanon, where he was also brutally treated at the hands of several employers and agents, Alice Morangi returned without showing.

Speaking to TUKO’s chief producer, King’ori Wangechi, the mother of three reported that she had traveled to Lebanon after he was struggling to support his twin children and left the children under the care of his aunt.

“I told my aunt to help me care for my twins with a promise that I would spend money every month for school and food, and she agreed,” He said.

After arriving in Lebanon, he realized his monthly revenue would be released only from the fourth month, and would be half of what he had been told earlier.

“In Kenya, the agent promised me that my monthly salary would be KSh 40,000, but when I arrived in Lebanon, I knew that the salary was KSh 20,000, which would be paid only from the fourth month since the agent returned the cost of travel,” He said.

However, Lebanon’s life was not easy.

Alice was taken deep into the villages of Lebanon, where she was employed by a family that harassed her.

“I would have worked for a long time, and they would feed me with difficulty. They gave me rotten food in the fridge. He narrated.

While working in Lebanon, almost every currency he received went to his aunt every month.

For many months, she gave her aunt a total of Ksh 20,000 so you could serve her children’s school and food.

“Sometimes, I sent KSh 15,000 and saved the remaining KSh 5,000. He was telling me he had collected debt or that the children were sick, or expelled from school, and so by the end of each month, I had to spend all my salary, because I thought the money would be used to help my children,” He said.

Back home

When he returned home after the expiry of his contract, the young mother was shocked after she had her children look confused.

“I once saw how my aunt had repaired her house and she was also building a brick -made house. When I left, she was living in a clay house, but I went back to see great improvements. In addition, her children seemed to be well kept, but mine, on the other hand, seemed to be frustrated, and my heart was broken,” He said.

A few days after returning home, her aunt drove her out of the main house and asked her to go to bed in her old stove with the children.

“He was angry when he saw I had no money, however I used every coin in Lebanon. It was a great lesson for me to learn,” He said, adding that he returned home with only KSh 30,000 savings he used to make purchases on the needs of his aunt.
