Former Migori governor Okoth Obado unveiled a series of unexpected issues in court on Wednesday, April 23, as he stood to testify in an ongoing case on the death of Sharon Otieno.

Was Obado dating Sharon Otieno?
In a time of honesty, the former county chief admitted to having a romantic relationship with Sharon, a university student who was later found killed in a high -profile state -of -the -art case.
According to Obado, he had already made it clear to his family about the relationship several months before his death.
Obado told the court that in May 2018, he informed his wife and his family about his involvement with Sharon.
Although the original response was difficult, he claimed to have brought him emotional stability.
“I felt a little sad when my wife discovered the courtship, but later I told her and I felt better,” He said.
He also said he assured his wife that he would take full responsibility for the unborn baby Sharon.
Did Obado’s wife suggest Sharon be given a house?
In a shocking situation when giving his testimony, Obado revealed that his wife suggested that they give Sharon a house, accepting her role in her life.
Although it is even said he suggested giving Sharon one of their existing homes, Obado said he did not support the idea.
Instead, he shared that there was a discussion about building a Sharon House in Homa Bay and that he had already started preparations, estimating a total of KSh 3 million for a three -bedroom house.
“I had given Lawrence Mulla the responsibility to help me find land and also in the construction of the house,” Obado told the court.
While awaiting the construction of the house, it is said that Sharon agreed to move to the rental unit, a change that Obado claimed to have had.
However, he noted that although he was satisfied with the plan, he preferred one house in the city Kisumu Or Nairobi.

Did Obado ignore Sharon?
Obado also responded to allegations that Sharon was complaining of being ignored, explaining that the support rate had been slightly reduced but not completely stopped.
He said more that he had given Sharon the money to get medical insurance, rejecting allegations that she had been left alone.
“It wasn’t just a plan; I had given him money to go and get it,” He explained.
Obado continued to hold that he was not involved in the murder of a university student with the intention of purifying his name.
