Meru – Former Agriculture Minister Mithika Linturi has dismissed allegations that he had been holding secret talks with the President William Ruto.

During an interview on Weru television on Sunday, April 20, Linturi criticized Ruto for allegedly cheating that they had talks about government appointments.
When did Mithika Linturi spoke last time with Ruto
The former agricultural minister appeared to suggest that he was no longer a friend of the head of state.
According to Linturi, it was not appropriate for the President to tell the public that they had been negotiating when he (Ruto) knew ‘is a lie’.

Linturi was angered by what he called the deliberate distortion of the truth with the President about their current political relationship.
The former minister revealed that he spoke to Ruto last time on December 10, 2024, when he accompanied the bishops of Meru at a meeting convened by the president.
“The last time we talked it was December 10. And I didn’t go looking for work. We had gone with the Meru bishops. That was the last time. The former minister of agriculture said.

The former Meru senator also announced that he did not want to join the Ruto regime Kenya first.
Is Mithika Linturi interested in joining the Ruto government?
He criticized the President for dismissing him and not supporting him when he was the Minister of Agriculture.
Linturi emphasized that he did not need the help of the President to get a job, arguing that the people of Meru still believe in his leadership.
“I also want to say clearly that I do not want his work. Linturi said.
He suggested to join other leaders with the same intention before the next 2027 general election.
What William Ruto said about Mithika Linturi
Linturi is one of the ministers fired by the President following The procession against the government led by General Zs.
However, speaking on a recent visit to Mount Kenya, the president exposed plans to bring Linturi back to the governor Peter Munya Government.
The president publicly said that he had been in talks with political leaders in Munya and Linturi and confirmed their plans to work in the Kenyan government first.
Meru’s new governor, Isaac Mutuma, had asked the head of state to consider nominating the two leaders to a broader government.
