Rongai: A 14 -year -old girl killed by a lion playing at home

A sad case occurred in Emakoko village, Rongai, Kajiado County, after a 14 -year -old girl lost her life following an attack by a female lion believed to escape from the Nairobi national park.

The wild animal is said to be entering a private residence on Saturday night, April 19.

The girl, known for Peace Mwende, was a student of 7th grade on vacation following a school closure.

According to a statement by the National Wildlife Service (KWS), as reported by CNN, The female lion succeeded in skipping a temporary fence surrounding the property, allowing her to enter the building unnoticed.

The second boy was able to escape and shoot, cautioning neighbors and local authorities.

KWS soldiers accompanied by emergency ministers arrived at the scene within a short period of time following the sad phone.

After conducting a thorough search, the respondents followed the blood stream that led them to the nearby Mbagathi River.

It was then that they discovered the girl’s body that had been severely split, with unquestionable signs of wildlife attack.

KWS officials have confirmed that there were no signs of inflammation from the girls.

The wildlife conservation organization issued a condolences to the victim’s family and emphasized its commitment to prevent such evil confrontation between wildlife and humans.

By Sunday evening, the female lion responsible for the attack had not yet been arrested. KWS has introduced a sharp search inside and near the Rongai area.
