Mediheal Hospital responds to allegations of kidney harvesting, denied paying donors

What did the mediheal say about the harvesting of human organs?

Dr. Srinivas Murthy, the chief leader of the hospital, denied the allegations, explaining that patients who wanted to be transplanted arrive at the center with their sponsors.

In a statement to the media, he emphasized that the hospital follows all the required protocols and does not deal with or selecting or selecting donors.

Mediheal’s vice president, Maryline Limo, also denied allegations that the hospital was benefiting from spouse donors.

Limo said the hospital does not receive funding from donors and that all legal procedures including oath documents signed by donors are considered.

He assured the public that hospital revenue is based only on the services provided to patients, and there is no involvement in any illegal financial transactions.

“I would like to explain that the Mediheal Hospital is not part and part of this funding. The money the center receives is for the services provided to the client. Therefore, this funding issue has been replaced by mediheal. They are not part of it,” he said.

The hospital has been receiving severe accusations from the public after media reports involved it with human organs alleging that patients were paying a lot of money for kidney transplantation.

Media reports revealed that Mediheal was the center of transplant surgery, claiming that the receptionists paid up to KSh 25.9 million for kidney transplantation.

President William Ruto He hit the pen owner of Mediheal Hospital, Swarup Mishra, following the emergence of allegations involving non -ethical and kidney transplant activities at the medical center.

In a statement from the White House, Ruto confirmed that the suspension of Mishra would continue to be implemented until the outcome of the ongoing investigation into the serious allegations ended.

Mishra, a former Kesses MP, was appointed chairman of the Kenya Biovax Institute Limited in November 2024.

However, his involvement in the mediheal saga has raised concerns about the possibility of misconduct, leading to his suspension.
