UEFA confirms why Real were denied penalties

In addition to the bad case, VAR also inspected if Mbappe was lost. After a long and sharp verification, the referee overturned his decision and canceled the penalty.

Shortly thereafter, UEFA issued a statement explaining why the penalty was not imposed.

According to the Mirror newspaper, the football board explained the decision, saying the penalty was canceled because there was no offense committed by Declan Rice.

“Penalty to Real Madrid has been removed for not playing with Declan Rice,” UEFA statement said.

UEFA refuses to change the controversial law
