Investigating officials from the Ethics and Anti -Corruption Commission (EACC) on Tuesday morning, April 15, arrested Kiambu Governor Kimani Kimani Wangani in connection with an ongoing corruption investigation.

The arrest followed the early morning invasion in the governor’s residence and county offices, where EACC officials also seized electronic documents and equipment believed to be important in the investigation.
According to a KBC report, nine other senior officials from the Kiambu County government were also arrested during the operation, which is linked to investigations into public money laundering and conflict of interest in procurement processes.
According to the EACC, the 10 officials have been investigated on suspicion of misuse of county resources.
