Speaking on Sunday, April 13, the president appeared to point the blame to Cleophas Malala, the author of the controversial drama.

The president said that his government is committed to ensuring that every child gets a chance to shine in what he does better.

According to Ruto, the government will ensure that the best students academically access all the necessary resources, similar to those who are talented in sports and art.

Ruto said about the Echoes of War drama:

“Every child – formal education, technical education, creative industry, arts and sports – we must give our children the best options and a full opportunity for what they can be. There are professional professionals, others in sports, others in creative economies, and others in the arts. As a nation and through my government, we will make sure our children get better. And we must support them,” Ruto said.

Appearing to talk about a controversial drama, Ruto said teachers, trainers, and education managers should protect students against those who want to mislead them.

In a note that seemed to target the former Kakamega senator, the President said the children who attend school should be protected against people they teach them to hate their leaders and their country.

“We must protect our children against those who target them – sexual criminals, drug dealers, and those who want to destroy them morally and teach them to hate their parents, their teachers, their leaders or their nation. We must protect our children against such people. The president added.
