A 35 -year -old man killed his two children, two years old and seven years old, in the village of Taachasis in Konoin sub -county. Bomet.

The man is said to use a knife to cut off the children's throats and destroy them at midnight.
Why did Bomet's family kill his children?
Bomet County Police Commander Edward Imbaga confirmed the shocking incident saying the reasons for the suspect carry out the act are still unknown.
He said they received controversial news from a local chief that the man killed the two girls.
Inwaga said the police were immediately taken as they were sent to the village and succeeded in arresting him and taking him to the Konoin police station.
“He took a knife and cut them one throat after the other. We do not know the reason for the murder, but we will question him before taking him to court,” he said.
He said police would begin an investigation into the tragic incident to determine the cause of the killings before taking him to court on Monday to answer the charges.
“We also took a kitchen knife used in the murder as a model in the case, and is now under police protection,” he added.
The bodies of the girls were taken to the corpse of the Kapkatet County Hospital for the storage and examination.
Anger increased in the village with locals wanting to kill the suspect.
In February 2025, another man, Benard Kipkemoi, 40, was sentenced to a total of 150 years for the murder of his three sons in 2019 in Lelaitich village, Sigor ward, a parliamentary constituency in Bomet County.

He had entered a domestic dispute with his wife, Sharon Cherono, who left with their children.

However, Cherono later sent the children back to their father with his emphasis.
Kipkemoi killed the children shortly after returning and fleeing the area; Their bodies were discovered by their grandmother, who, in shock, raised the alarm and raised the emotions of the villagers and passersby.
The bodies were taken to a mortuary while detectives launched a search for Kipkemoi.
A mortuary showed that the children died of lack of air.
The man was eventually arrested and charged with murder, although he denied the charges throughout his case.
In his defense, he claimed that he had no reason to harm his children and expressed regret.
During the case, he admitted that the last person was seen with the children, but could not explain his absence when they died.
In 2023, despite his defense, Judge Lagat Korir found Kipkemoi guilty of murder, four years after the incident.
The prosecution presented eight witnesses who testified against him.
