Concerned, he cautioned court officials, leading to immediate review of CCTV photos of the courtroom.

After a thorough investigation, the security team and court officials were surprised to discover that Ombogo himself was involved.

The pictures clearly showed him putting the phone in his pocket cleverly, seeming to believe he would not be seen.

With strong evidence, court officials and investigators initiated a search for a quick search.

They followed him up Kawangwareresidences near the courts.

When he was arrested, he led the officers to his assistant, a woman suspected of conducting phone crimes.

When asked about the incident, Ombogo tried to defend himself, insisting that he had not stolen the phone but only received it.

“I didn't steal it, I picked it up. It was just there, and it was covered with polythene sheets,” he claimed.

His father, however, expressed great regret over his son's actions, accepting the seriousness of the situation.

“I ask the phone to be available, the girl (assistant) who gave her the phone is known to her, please return the phone to me to take it to court, because right now there are two cases, the boy will die in custody,” she said.

A man accused of beating him accusing the officer of leading his wife

In 2019 the man charged with an offense of attack surprised the Kibera court while accusing a police officer of trying to lead his wife. He claimed the officer asked his number on the pretext of investigating the case.

The court burst into laughter as his wife confirmed the allegations. The man, who was accused of fighting his neighbor on a clothing strap, insisted the officer had secret intentions.

However, the officer denied the allegations, saying he was just investigating.

The officer further argued that Mutua had been exposed to women about clothes and was trying to direct the blame.
