Homa Bay: 4 Mbita School students hit by a fast driven car

Fever bay – Four students of Mbita Boys' Secondary School and Bodaboda operator have been involved in an accident in Mbita.

How did the Mbita accident happen?

The students had been released on the April holiday when they were hit by a fast -moving private car.

The four and the Bodaboda operator were debating the price along the road when the sad incident occurred.

Eyewitnesses claim that the car was being driven at high speed, and there is a suspicion that the driver may have been an alcoholic at the time of the crash.

Injured students were quickly rushed to the Homa Bay County Referral Hospital for immediate treatment.

In a statement, the school leadership said the injured students were rushed to Prince Richard Hospital and Mbita Level 4 Hospital.

However, two students who suffered serious injuries were later taken to the Homa Bay Training and Appeal Hospital for special treatment.

“Both have been taken to the Homa Bay Homa Bay Hospital. Their families have been notified. As a school, we take this opportunity to express our deep sadness to the affected families and wish our beloved sons to recover quickly,” the school said.

The accident took place just hours after three Ober Boys primary school students died in Nyakatch sub -county.
