“On the day of the body, the elder gave his child his identity because it was needed in the corpse, then left home,” one of his sons said in an interview.

His disappearance raised great anxiety as his family called on the public to help him find him.

Makarabe was last seen at two o'clock in the morning near Master Sacco Plaza in Kisii.

According to his family, he was wearing a brown blue pants, black shoes and a gray coat.

When he failed to get to the mortuary, his concerned relatives tried to call him, but his phone was turned off.

As the hours worsened, the family's despair increased.
