In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Chief Obila called for an emergency to humanitarian organizations and the State Disaster Management Department to provide urgent assistance to affected families.
“Our people are desperate for help. Many have lost everything, and we can no longer wait for support,” He said.
Meanwhile, in the village of Kayodo, the situation was even worse as several families in the area were also left to get stuck after the roof was bound by strong winds.
The residents now find themselves homeless, their homes are left ruins, and their lives are in danger.

Homa Bay School School roofs were blown away by strong winds
Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that strong winds had left students in two schools within Homa Bay County working under trees. This is after the wind blows the roofs of the schools.
The affected schools are Kububi Comprehensive School and St. George's Junior School where toilets and administrative buildings were also damaged.
Several families were also affected by the wind that was reported on Monday night, March 10 after the wind lasted the roofs of their rental houses at Nyandiwa business center in the South Suba parliament.
