Why did Raila support Ruto?
Speaking in Kiambu County on Tuesday, March 11, the former prime minister dismissed allegations that he joined the administration of Kenya first.
According to the ODM leader, he is the first Kenyan union leader who sought him, seeking help to bring stability to the country.
During a funeral in Kiambu County on Tuesday, March 11, the former Prime Minister, who recently failed in his intention to become the Chairman of the African Union (AUC), defended his recent plan and Ruto.
According to the ODM leader, he could not stand as Kenyans suffer under Kenya's policies first.
“Some people are screaming, claiming that I have left them and joined Ruto. But I did not go to Ruto-Ruto he came to me. Raila said.
According to the former Prime Minister, his decision to join Ruto was to address major issues affecting Kenya, such as the Community Health Authority (SHA) with controversial and tax deduction.
“We cannot change anything in this government from outside. We must put our people in to solve problems,” The ODM leader said.

The veteran opposition leader also criticized the Kenyan government's first tax policies, which he referred to as numerous and punishing.
He referred to the Community Health Insurance Fund (SHA), saying it was failing in its intended purpose and requires immediate adjustment, and cited housing tariffs, another controversial issue, such as a heavy burden on people who are already suffering.
The ODM leader's feelings come a few days after the signing of his agreement with Ruto, which was sealed by the KICC and identified promises about governance, involvement, economic reform and institutional responsibility.
How Kalonzo said about the agreement between Ruto and Raila
The compromise between Raila and Ruto continues to attract some Kenyans.
Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka is among the former prime minister about his plan with Ruto.
Speaking on Friday, March 7, the former vice president cited their political agreement as betrayal, saying the two leaders were prioritizing their personal interests rather than the well -being of ordinary citizens.
Kalonzo, who intends to replace Ruto 2027, vowed to mobilize Kenyans, especially young people, to oppose Ruto's agreement with Raila and to push for government reforms.
Some of the other leaders who criticized the former prime minister include the Dap-K leader Eugene Wamalwa and Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah.
