On Saturday, March 8, a speeding truck lost focus, causing an accident that killed five people in the fruit area.

Another witness explained that the truck, which was leaving the Webuye, went out of the road and hit the water suppliers on the side of the road.
“The car lost the brakes, went out of its path, then hit the boda boda and water suppliers in the area,” Said another witness.
After the fatal accident, angry residents staged a protest, causing severe traffic congestion on the busy road.
Despite the presence of police officers, residents who blamed the truck driver for causing the accident decided to burn the truck on fire.
The angry residents called on the government to mark the road in the area as one way to reduce accidents.

Still in Bungoma County, one person died in a fatal accident on the Webuye-Eldoret highway.
According to West TV, the accident occurred near the intersection of Kaburengu, a dangerous area, on Tuesday evening, March 4.
