Kalonzo Musyoka says Raila betrayed Kenyans to contract with William Ruto: “They are all wrong”

Nairobi – Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has signed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and President William Ruto, describing their political agreement as a betrayal.

During the People's Dialogue Festival at Uhuru Park on Friday, March 7, Kalonzo criticized the two leaders for prioritizing their personal interests rather than the well -being of ordinary citizens.

Kalonzo promised to mobilize Kenyans, especially young people, to oppose the agreement of Ruto And Raila and push for government reforms.

“They thought that only a few people could lead The procession and protests in the country. They are all wrong. I want to declare that from now on, we will be a faithful opposition to the people who seek to liberate this country, “ Kalonzo announced to the crowd.

Kalonzo, along with Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwathey criticized the agreement between Raila's ODM and Ruto's UDA.

They agreed that it was undermining the sacrifices issued by Kenyans who opposed the high cost of living and administrative issues in 2023 and 2024.

He also criticized the government for failing to compensate for the families of those killed during the anti -government protest.

“Whether there is a handshake or no handshake, the fact is that President Ruto must leave. If they do not give a formula to compensate the family and those killed during the protest then nothing comes from the KICC. It's just a betrayal,” Kalonzo said.

He vowed that the current opposition would remain firmly in defending the rights of ordinary Kenyans.

“We chose to stand on the side of Gen Zs, the people of Kenya, and we in the opposition today want to say that we have deliberately chosen and intelligently as we stand from today. Said Wamalwa.

Wamalwa said that the direction of opposition would remain in addressing the high cost of living, penalty tariffs and police violence, which he said has hit the country.

Elsewhere, the Governor of Homa Bay and Chairman of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Gladys starchapproved the cooperation between Ruto and Raila.
