His body arrived at his home Kitale On Thursday, March 6, with bodaboda staff escorting a car carrying a corpse to his father's house.

Prior to an eagerly awaited funeral service, the government through Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Gideon Oyagi, has issued strict guidelines for the final follow -up of Chebikati.

What rules should be followed in Chebikati's funeral?

Speaking to the Nation, Oyagi emphasized that attendees should avoid wearing political clothing, saying the funeral is a sacred ritual, not a political event.

He called on all political leaders across the country to order their supporters to ensure that they were strictly followed.

Oyagi issued a stern warning to anyone planning to disrupt the funeral, saying that adequate security measures would be put in place to prevent any chaos.

He also emphasized that no group would be allowed to celebrate their leaders during the final dismissal of Chebikati.

“This is not a political meeting but a funeral service. No group will be allowed to cheer their political leader,” Oyagi confirmed.
