Idah Mbotela narrated his last times with his father as he read his respects at the All Saints' Cathedral, Nairobi during his father's funeral service.
When will Leonard Mbotela be buried?
Friends, family and former Leonard colleagues attended the service before being buried on Saturday, February 15.
Idah noted his late father urged him to travel early to see him at a Nairobi hospital where he was receiving treatment.
“I really was a dad girl I could hear you even when you didn't talk. More valuable that I would say in my life, ” He said goodbye.

Idah revealed that he did not receive positive information from family members as his father was food and that he was fed through the nerves.

He also didn't speak but when he saw him he smiled and called his name twice while asking him questions.
“You always cared for me and you had worried about me.
After that, as the hospital staff was preparing to sleep, you easily grabbed me and told us we were at the hospital and I couldn't understand why you kept saying, “Excuse me”. Now I understand you were saying I forgive you because you were leaving me and I would never see you again here on earth. I didn't know I would be the last person you could talk to, ” he added.

Idah realized his father's health deteriorated that night before he died the next morning, in front of his children.

“There will be no words that can describe how you have been a good father and lying in a hospital bed, with my tears I continued to tell you many times how I am surprised and blessed to be your daughter. I will miss you and I will love you forever. ” He concluded.

Where would Leonard Mbotela be buried?
In another story, veteran journalist and renowned radio broadcaster Fred Obachi Machokaa expressed anger at the plans to bury the broadcaster Leonard in Lang'ata cemetery.
On his Facebook page, Machokaa criticized the decision, saying it despised Mbotela's significant contribution to Kenya.
He cheerfully called for sending messages more respectfully to the media icon.
