He criticized the opposition leaders for their remarks against Home Secretary Raymond Omollo, saying that the leaders should condemn the youths who are using them to cause chaos.

“As we approach the general election, a large number of politicians who serve as well as those who want to are recruiting young people and using them as thugs and as gangs for the purpose of intimidating their opponents and causing chaos in the celebrations, I strongly condemn what happened to Senator Godfrey Osotsi in Kisumu,” he said.

Murkomen said that while politicians may disagree on ideology, violence should not be used as a weapon to control the situation.

He added that despite opposition leaders condemning the evil, some of them have been involved in mobilizing hooligans. “Since they have been announced publicly, I want to ask the inspector general of police to arrest all the boys who use them in the party so that it can be an example of their belief in this matter of fighting these gangs. Some of the main actors in recruiting these young men for violence are sitting in the opposition,” he said.
