Army Corporal Tumelo Dube, a member of the Presidential Guard, died along with his wife, Antonate Mashava, and their two young children: Itumele aged eight and Lorisana aged one.
How LC Tumelo Dube died
According to Herald Online, the four died after their car was involved in a serious accident just 10 kilometers after Shangani.

The family was traveling to Bulawayo when the tragedy happened. While three people died on the spot, two children were taken to hospital, where they died shortly afterwards.
After the accident, unanswered questions continue, with family members expressing concern that the incident may have involved a hit-and-run vehicle.
This is after a piece of side glass believed to belong to their car was found about 100 meters from the scene.
Residents of the nearby village were among the first to arrive after hearing the impact of the collision.
Despite their efforts, three people had already lost their lives, while the younger victims fought for their lives in hospital before succumbing to their injuries.
Who was LC Tumelo Dube?
A military funeral parade was held in honor of LC Dube at the Presidential Guard Camp in Bulawayo, as a silent tribute reflecting his years of service to the nation in the military.
Fellow officers, family, and friends gathered to pay their last respects to a man remembered for his discipline and quiet dedication.
Bereaved lieutenant colonel Tongai Hove described the 33-year-old as a loyal and dedicated soldier whose service left a lasting mark.

The deceased joined the army in March 2012 and underwent training at the 42nd Infantry Regiment in Masvingo before serving in several army units, including the 22nd Infantry Regiment.
Over the years, he rose through the ranks and was eventually appointed to the Presidential Guard, where he served in the VIP Close Security Unit) as the driver at the time of his death.
His dedication earned him recognition, including the Medal of Freedom and the 10-Year Service Medal.
A businessman dies along with his two children
The death of Corporal Tumelo Dube comes three weeks after a Masaka businessman, Bosco Senyonjo, and his two children died in a fatal accident on the expressway.
The early morning crash left the community in mourning, with authorities unsure whether speed or driver fatigue caused the crash.
One of the passengers survived the crash and was rushed to a Class B Hospital for first aid before being taken for further treatment, giving a faint hope in the midst of the tragedy.
