William Ruto: KPA boss bitterly mourns his daughter with a serious message

Captain Ruto was involved in a fatal road accident on the evening of April 3.

The accident happened in Taita Taveta County along the Mwatate-Taveta road while he was traveling with family members.

The KPA boss lost his teenage daughter, Mitchell Jelimo Kemboi, who has been mourned as a loving friend.

Captain Ruto and four other family members sustained injuries but were reported to be in good condition before being released.

The family held a mass for Jelimo, and his father was overcome with emotion as he read his tribute at the CITAM Mombasa Church,

He admitted that as Jelimo’s father, he often questioned why God took him and not him. He also added that God is close to those who are brokenhearted like him and his family.

“Like your father, I ask why you and not me, but I hold to God’s promise: ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,'” Psalm 34:18.

Captain Ruto noted that his daughter’s spirit lives on in every memory they shared, and would remain in his heart, thoughts and soul.

“Even though you are no longer with us physically, your spirit lives on in every memory, every lesson, and every minute of the love you gave us. You will remain forever in my thoughts, my heart and my soul. Your laughter, your courage, your love will guide me for the rest of the days. Rest well, my beautiful girl, until we meet again,” he added.
