Denno lost his job from the National Police Service (NPS) due to his anti-government activities and involvement in protest of Gen Z that shook the country, demanded accountability and good governance, and were also against the 2025 Finance Bill.

Participating in the 2025 Gen Z protest was a violation of police conduct, and the young man was out for nearly nine months, with some pointing fingers at him, saying it was unwise to put himself in that situation.

In a major shift from selling law enforcement, the young man has embraced street vending and people are not letting him down.

“I want to start selling boiled corn. I know it sounds strange to go from being a police officer to selling corn, but we are following the money,” he said.

When he started implementing his decision, Denno’s Kenyans from all walks of life began to support him by buying each stick of boiled maize for KSh 50, and he even sells half for KSh 25.

Denno praised the former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko for helping him start a business; after buying a cooking pot, he asked Sonko to help him buy a stove, and the politician responded without hesitation.

In a particularly touching video, Deno is also seen rejoicing after a kind man brought him a car full of firewood from Athi River.

“My God, you kept my blessings, saying my time has not come yet; you have showered me with many blessings,” he said.
