Speaking in Muhoroni Sub-County, Wanga said the party led by Siaya senator Oburu Oginga will discuss the government’s 50:50 allocation.
According to the governor of Homa Bay, if the UDA takes the position of president, then ODM will take the position of Deputy President of Kithur Kindiki.
“Regarding those positions, we will talk saying it is 50-50. If they take half, ODM also takes half. If they take the presidency, then the deputy belongs to ODM. That is what we will talk about when we move forward,” said Wanga.
In addition to discussing how to share power, Wanga said ODM and UDA will also discuss important issues affecting Kenyans.
“When we enter into negotiations, we enter knowing that we are a big party. And as we said, we will discuss opportunities, yes, but first we will also discuss the issues of the people,” he said.

Indirectly criticizing the former vice president Rigathi GachaguaWanga emphasized that ODM will not negotiate with people who incite ethnic politics.
“People who divide Kenyans, who divide them on the basis of ethnicity, abusive people, people who cannot understand themselves – those are not people we can talk to,” he said.
Wanga dismissed claims of division of the party due to some dissenters.
He confirmed that ODM still has the support of many leaders elected by its current leadership, which he expects will continue even after the 2027 elections.
How did Ruth Odinga respond to UDA’s suspension of Nyanza candidates?
In other news, Kisumu Women’s Representative Ruth Odinga criticized the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) for its drive to field candidates across the country.
Ruth called on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to prepare for the political battle towards the 2027 General Election.
This follows the announcement by UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar that the ruling party under William Ruto intends to participate in all elections, even in areas historically dominated by ODM, despite ongoing talks about the possibility of a coalition before 2027 between the two parties.
Ruth spoke during the church service on April 5 at Full Gospel Churches of Kenya in Muhoroni, Kisumu county.
The national chairman Gladys Wanga along with other ODM leaders joined him.
