The pictures showed Edwin and his girlfriend leading the way to his house at twelve and forty-seven minutes in the evening (6:47 pm), closely followed by Vincent and Chebet.

Later, at one hour and four minutes in the evening (7:04 pm), CCTV captured Edwin and his girlfriend heading to the market—when he said he left Vincent and Chebet at his house to give them privacy.

About 48 minutes later, CCTV captured Chebet and his girlfriend walking on the street, where Chebet was seen swaying as if he was drunk while Vincent held his hand tightly.

At first they were seen going to the town of Karatina, but Vincent suddenly pulled her and took her to another road when they passed in front of the camera.

A few meters from the turning point, his body was later found on Sunday, March 29, around four in the morning (10 am).

Edwin and his girlfriend were seen returning home at two and thirty three minutes at night (8:33 pm), expecting to find Vincent and Chebet at home. That night, Vincent sent Edwin a message claiming that they had been attacked, but did not give further details.

“He said he had run away and left the girl with the attackers and he didn’t know where she was,” said Edwin.
