They mainly serve high demand routes in Nairobi such as Ngong and Embakasi.
How many threes does George Ruto own?
The Matrix was bought from a friend and quickly became popular, with the first Raptor soon undergoing a major overhaul. It was painted white with new off-cut rims, graffiti, LED lights in the shape of a soccer field, as well as a large Jamhuri Soccer Academy logo, and is now also used as an advertising tool for the academy.
One driver, Kinara, who previously drove Money Fest, revealed that the car worth KSh 20 million generates KSh 500,000 a month. He said: “The car cost KSh 20 million, and per month we earn KSh 500,000.”
This rate, confirmed as real by conductor Collins Waweru due to high fares, means approximately KSh 16,667 per day for 30 working days.
“The much-needed PSV spends a short time at the stand as passengers rush to it, thus enabling the vehicle to make more trips,” he told TUKO.co.ke.
How much money does George Ruto earn from matatu?
While the exact earnings of all the cars have not been made public, estimating by multiplying Money Fest’s earnings four times gives the overall picture.
George can earn up to KSh 2 million per month, or about KSh 66,667 per day from his four matatus. However, the actual income may be less than that.
Not all cars perform as well as Money Fest due to factors such as different routes and seating capacity, as Mood only has 25 seats.
