Nakuru, Kenya: Demonstration have erupted in Gilgil following the mysterious death of a three-year-old student, Faiz Faraj, who was a student of Gilgil Hills Academy.

Faiz was reported missing around five in the morning, and after a frantic search, he was found in the school’s fish pond around seven in the afternoon.

According to the school’s information, the child drowned, but his family did not accept it, saying that they were initially told that the child was sick before being informed about the incident.
The school claimed that the inquest into Faiz’s death linked Faiz’s death to asphyxiation caused by inhalation, but the family strongly contested the findings and claimed inconsistencies while demanding further investigation.
The autopsy contradicts the Gilgil school statement
The school claimed that he died of drowning, while the autopsy report claimed that there was no evidence of water in his body.
Social media users poured into the comments section to console the bereaved family as they united to seek justice for the young man. Nakuru.
On March 30, residents of the town took to the streets in anger, blocking the road and burning tires to express their anger over the death of the little boy.

A relative identified as Dickson Ndirangu maintained that the family is still demanding answers from the school management.

Boy dies at Chesamis Boys High School
In another statement, David Simuyu, a middle-aged man who lost his son, pointed the blame at Chesamisi Boys’ High School for allegedly not responding to his son.
It was learned that Eugene’s medical emergency started at school, and Simiyu said Eugene Wekesa died at the hospital from a previously unknown heart condition, allegedly made worse by the delay in getting medical help.
Simuyu has urged schools to prioritize the health of students and to take quick action during emergencies to avoid more deaths.
