Faiz, a kindergarten student, was reported missing from the classroom at around 11 am and his body was found in a fish pond at 7 pm.
The family disputes the events that led to his death. Gilgil Sub County Police Commander Winstone Mwakio said: “An autopsy has been done and everything points to drowning. Now it’s up to the Criminal Investigation Department to determine how the boy got into the pool.”
Faiz’s father, Faraj Ibrahim, received a disappointing call when the teacher informed him at around 7pm that Faiz was ill and had been admitted to the hospital, possibly suffering from fever or malaria.
