He shared a video online, expressing his anger as he showed the unfinished house his brother was supposed to build using the money he was sending.
He was working in Dubai, where he moved to find a better life, hoping to improve his living conditions.
He spent seven years abroad, working hard and sending money to a brother he trusted to oversee the construction of his house.
Houses are built with poor materials
“A man cried after sending money home for a housing project, but found an incomplete building built with poor materials,” the description of the video said on X.
The man had been receiving pictures from his brother showing construction progress, including pictures of tiled floors.
He believed his brother was doing a good job and that his money was being spent properly while he was away.
He was sure that by the time his contract ended in the Gulf country, he would return to find the house finished.
An unfinished house is tiled
However, when he returned, the reality was completely different from what he had been led to believe.
He found the house unfinished, with only a few building stones and no major developments that had taken place in the past seven years.
Although some parts had been tiled, it seemed to be done quickly and with poor quality, leaving him confused and depressed about his next steps.
He revealed that he had no money left, not even for rent, as he had invested all his savings and hope in the housing project.
People’s feelings on the internet
People online sympathized with him, flocking to the comments section to share their views:
Elikem130410: “If this story is true, then the owner of the house has a problem. You send money for seven years without asking for a complete video of your house? Even on the basis, they should have sent the correct information.”
