Senator-elect Karen Nyamu has spoken about her love for the late famous politician Raila Odinga.

Nyamu has officially announced his intention to run for the seat in the next general election of 2027.

Nairobi women’s representative in power, Esther Passarisannounced that he would not run again and endorsed Nyamu as his preferred successor.

The appointed senator is expected to face other prominent candidates, including Millicent Omanga.

Nyamu spoke about Raila Odinga

Nyamu, during a recent public meeting, shared his love for Raila and how happy he was that ODM and UDA are united.

The mother of four explained how she used to lock herself in her room listening to Raila’s favorite song to hide from her party members.

“We are in the UDA and ODM parties, and this is the kind of unity that I have been dreaming of here in Nairobi because I was in the UDA party, but I really loved Raila. I would lock myself in my room and listen to the song ‘Raila Tibim’. I would lock myself so that members of my party would not see me. I loved that song and Raila.

Nyamu expressed his happiness for ODM and UDA to merge and form a UDA party government. He claimed that now with their unity, they had a position against Nairobi.

“As we are united, I am happy because we are everywhere in Nairobi because Baba left us in the UDA party. Oburu Odinga. Congratulations for being confirmed as the leader of the ODM party. This is the unity we have been dreaming of,” he said.

Nyamu, in his speech, also addressed the Nairobi senator Edwin Sifunaadvising him to lose weight.

“Sifuna, you have a heart of gold because I work with you and you love the people of Nairobi. Anyone who advises you on the side tells you the wrong things and gives you bad advice. You have a bright future as a leader. Things are slow. We have given you the position of senator, and we have given you all our votes, and now you want to run for president, and my friend, please take it slow. Pride is not good for leadership. Yesterday you spoke bad things to Oburu because he is old and should be respected. I know you. Kama good man. Give William Ruto his 10 years. Obey my friend,” he said.
