Makueni – Residents of Mbooni East, Makueni county are in mourning following the death of an 11-year-old boy.

Citizen Digital reported that the child was found murdered in a guest house in Mbumbuni on Sunday, March 22.
How did the Makueni boy die in the geste?
According to previous reports, a middle-aged woman booked a room on the night of Saturday, March 21, with her three children.
Mbooni East police commander Ephraim Karani confirmed the tragic incident and revealed that the young man was found dead in the room while his mother was not there.
The clerk said preliminary investigations show the boy was strangled to death by his mother under mysterious circumstances.
According to the Clerk, two other children were found alive in the room when police arrived.
Officials have launched a search for the suspect while the investigation continues to determine the reasons and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Report of Citizen Digital revealed that the child’s body was found with severe injuries and his head had been severed, an incident that investigators described as horrific.
Near her body, officers found a small bag containing cornmeal and her clothes, items believed to have been with her before she disappeared.
Preliminary results showed that the boy spent the previous day in the field with his mother, helping. When evening came, he is said to have wandered off, but when darkness fell, and he did not return, his mother reported.

Mathare’s missing child is found
Meanwhile, there was mourning in Mathare after young Jayden, who went missing on the morning of Friday, March 20, was found after hours of frantic searching.
Jayden’s mother, Rhoda Khamsa, was inside the house doing chores when the two-and-a-half-year-old boy came out to play near the stairs.
Hours later, hope turned to relief when Jayden was found by a good Samaritan and taken to a nearby police station, where he was reunited with his mother.
Mathare, one of Nairobi’s most densely populated informal settlements, presents unique challenges during such searches, with its series of narrow lanes and crowded houses making it easy for a child to get confused or go unnoticed.
