Recently, the President William Ruto he abandoned his progressive agenda to ridicule his opponents.
Ruto, in Cheptais, Bungoma county, let loose, responding to critics with sharp and fiery words.
It is believed that the president attacked Eugene with the following words:
“There is another one here in Kitale; I don’t even know who was left the seat, farm and children by his brother. Are you going to lead the country when you can’t even manage your own house? Go build a house first and find a wife, leave me,” Ruto announced.

What happened to the property of Kijana Wamalwa?
Eugene in the video admitted that he has never spoken about the dispute regarding the property of his late brother Kijana Wamalwa.
The politician revealed that he was the family lawyer at the time of his brother’s death, but handed over the matter to another lawyer after inheritance problems.
“I have heard about it, but it is completely distorted in terms of the truth. It is not true. When my brother died, I was his lawyer and, apart from managing his election campaigns, we were very close. I was the family lawyer, and I was doing a lot of his legal affairs, the properties he bought and his property.
I was working with Dr. John Khaminwa; we have been very close. When this thing came up, I think it started with the bag issue. When my brother died, I was with him in London. I stayed with him during his treatment. After he died, we came back, and there was talk of money being in the purse, talk of inheritance, and other stories. Finally all that was managed. His property, of course, the matter was taken to court,” he said.

Eugene revealed that the inheritance was between his brother’s children, and being their uncle, he could not act on their behalf.
He revealed that his brother’s younger son felt that he was biased because he wanted the property to be distributed equally.
“He had five children, the youngest being Chichi. This is the one he had with his late wife, Yvonne. So the issue arose as to how they would share the property now. These are matters in court, and when the case was brought to court I could not defend these children or against them, so I had to withdraw and handle the case now with another lawyer.
My position, apart from being a lawyer, was that I was now the uncle who was closest to Mike, and my position was that these are all Mike’s children; they must be treated equally, and must share their father’s property equally. So that’s what caused the problem because the younger one felt I supported others. They made several statements about me, and you know they are not true because I have my own property. This was my brother’s property. What I did was that I withdrew and handed over the matter,” he said.

The politician accused his opponents of always using the matter to attack him, but they do not fully understand it.
“Many of my political opponents continue to use that video clip of the children fighting because when they made that statement, the youngest… the four older children met and gave another statement. But what they are doing is using the younger one. They did not use the one of the older children who came forward to explain, ‘you know uncle Eugene is not interested in this inheritance; it is about us sharing the inheritance among ourselves.'”
He added that the matter was in court and he hoped that all his grandchildren would get the same share.
“The matter was taken to the court, and Justin Chelule gave a decision on the matter. His position is that all the children who benefit should share the inheritance equally. When we discuss the matter, I think there was an appeal. We are waiting for the appeal to come out, and my only wish will be that none of my brother’s children are disinherited. They all get their rightful share. That is the only interest.”
He revealed that his brother’s property in Nairobi was worth KSh 500 million, and he was against the idea. that it goes to one child. “I think the biggest was the property in Nairobi, which is about KSh 500 million. Then the property in Kitale, houses and farms, I think that will reach KSh 200 million. The fight was over the property in Nairobi. It was claimed by one against the other.”

How Eugene Wamalwa reacted to Ruto’s offensive
In other news, Eugene responded by criticizing the president’s temperament, saying Ruto struggles with anger management and often loses control when frustrated.
He insisted he had never insulted the president to justify such attacks, recalling past occasions when Ruto allegedly tried to physically confront him and former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.
The DAP-K leader labeled the president’s remarks as unpresidential, emphasizing that respect should come before criticism and accusing Ruto of repeatedly letting anger dictate his actions.
