User of TikTok Blezy Nkumeh explained how he adopted his late sister’s daughter and raised her as his own child.

Blezy is raising his nephew

The girl was only four years old when her mother died, and her father had already abandoned the family.

“I was his closest surviving relative, so the child was brought to live with me. I don’t have children of my own, so my husband and I raised him together. We made him so happy that people couldn’t believe that he wasn’t our blood child.

When he started puberty, we noticed that he was becoming stubborn. My husband suggested that we start being more aggressive so that he doesn’t get spoiled. Whenever he made a mistake, he would be yelled at, and he would get angry. Sometimes he would go to sleep without eating,” he said.

Blezy and her husband admitted that they may have indulged the child too much, and when they realized that, it was difficult to change the situation.

Blezy’s nephew finds out about his mother

One day, the young man returned home saying that he had heard that Blezy was not his biological mother, which angered Blezy and caused an argument.

“My husband suggested that we tell him the truth because he was already 15 years old. So we did that. He asked about his father, and we told him that we don’t know where he is. From that day, whenever we pressed him, he cried and said it was because we are not his real parents.

Those words hurt us, but we decided to bear them. Later, her mother’s friend told me that she heard the girl saying that she wants to find her father because we are persecuting him. That surprised me because everyone knew we raised him well and gave him a good life. Now when we started to correct him, he interpreted it as torture,” Blezy said.

As time passed, the girl became more and more stubborn and disrespectful, even answering her guardians harshly.

Blezy also noticed that his nephew had started making frequent and suspicious calls. When she confronted him, it turned into an argument.

“One night, we came home and we couldn’t find her. Her box and some of her clothes were missing. We tried to call her repeatedly, but she didn’t answer. We didn’t sleep until morning looking for her in the whole neighborhood. Some people suggested that she might have gone to her boyfriend, but I rejected that because she never showed interest in boys.

We were planning to report the matter to the police when my aunt called me. He said our daughter has contacted him saying she no longer wants to live with us because she has found her father. He said he would live with him,” Blezy said.

Blezy and her husband were very hurt when they heard that the man already has his own family and is married, but still their nephew chose to live with him.
