Speaking during Linda Mwananchi’s press conference on Wednesday, March 18, in the Starehe constituency, Orengo criticized what he called “diarrhea of words” from the presidency.
Why should William Ruto be removed from power?
He said that Ruto he must be punished for violating the constitution due to his speech which is considered as hate speech.
“The president must be punished. The grounds for removal from power usually include serious violations of the law and the constitution. The constitution on leadership and ethics requires that government officials, including the president, should conduct themselves in a manner that brings respect to the nation and dignity to the office they hold. In the articles related to freedom of expression, our constitution condemns acts of hate speech, incitement and humiliation of others. Much of what the president said, this ‘diarrhea of words’, can be described as hateful speech,” he said, stressing that such speech is against morals.

While reminding Ruto to focus on bringing unity in the country, he appeared to defend the opposition leaders saying that none of them took the oath.
He emphasized that the only way to control Ruto is to remove him from power or through a resolution in the National Assembly.
“He cannot come down from a high office and start an exchange of violent words that does not bring respect to the Republic of Kenya. He should not hold that office now, not in 2027,” he said, urging Kenyans to take action in a legal way.
Should William Ruto be arrested?
Vihiga Senator and Deputy Leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Godfrey Osotsi, said that Ruto’s public remarks constituted misconduct and violated his oath of office.
“I want to remind Ruto that he took an oath to protect the Constitution of Kenya, and some of the statements he made a few days ago do not show the kind of leader who should be the president of Kenya. His statements are close to misconduct, which is the basis for removing the president of Kenya from power. We want a president who unites the nation and respects the constitution as well as different opinions for a strong nation,” he said.
