Aaron Martin has been left with the responsibility of raising his newborn son after his wife, Natalie, died just hours after giving birth.

Natalie suffered back pain

The widow narrated the events that led to the sudden death of his wife, who left him with a young child.

Natalie was a second grade teacher in Plano ISD, dedicated to her students and loved children, with dreams of raising her own family.

“She was about to give birth when a sudden back pain caused her to be taken to the hospital. It was just a precaution to make sure everything was okay, but the situation changed quickly. The doctors rushed Natalie to undergo an emergency delivery operation (C-section). She later died a few hours after giving birth due to internal bleeding. I think she was in shock, trying to understand what was going on,” Aaron said.

Their son, Parker, survived and is in good health, but Aaron was left with an indescribable sadness as well as the joy of receiving his son.

Aaron remembers Natalie’s time with Parker

Aaron explained that Parker meant everything to Natalie since she was born, and the short time they had together was very special.

“He gave everything for her. In the few hours they were together, it was clear that nothing else mattered but her,” Aaron shared.

Aaron expressed gratitude that his son survived, saying he sees Natalie’s face every time he looks at Parker.

“Every time I look at him, I see him. I can imagine how his face would light up because every time we talked about Parker and our future, he would light up. So when I see him, I see him,” he said.

A Nairobi man loses his wife and child in hospital

Closer to home, a young man from Nairobi county was heartbroken after losing his wife and their baby a few days later, leaving him in deep pain.

Jacob Nyarera was heartbroken following the tragedy twice, blaming the hospital for not doing enough to protect and save his loved ones.

He explained with strong emotions what happened while asking the public to help him bury his wife and their baby.
