Nzisa’s mother died during childbirth, and their father abandoned them shortly after. He was only 17 years old when he faced the truth: he and his three siblings were completely alone in the world.

In a special interview with TUKO.co.ke, Nzisa said she had to come forward and be a mother, father, and big sister to her siblings. It was not easy, but through effort, hard work, and the help of a few well-meaning people, the family has been going.

“My younger brother calls me mother. I am the only parent who has known him since my father handed him over to me after my mother died years ago. It has been almost three years now,” he said during the interview.

Who is helping Elizabeth Nzisa?

As his story spread, it touched the hearts of many people. A businessman in Nairobi known as Rose sought him out. He promised to give Nzisa free training in his business, Makeup by Rose, and a few days later they met.

Rose said they bonded quickly, spending a long time talking, where Nzisa told her story and Rose gave her advice as a big sister.

“She turns 20 soon and is raising three children alone. She is a child and a mother at the same time. She has no mother, no father, no older sister to guide her—so God help me. After talking to her for more than two hours, this girl has been through a lot! Her story touched me a lot,” said Rose.

The businessman announced that Nzisa would start her training on Wednesday, March 18, at Makeup by Rose, and she would start working there immediately after. He said that was his way of thanking God and helping Nzisa out of a difficult situation.

How did Elizabeth Nzisa get a job?

Rose explained that although she did not have an open job position, she opened a position for Nzisa on a one-year contract, recognizing how the girl needs skills and employment.

“After one month of training, he will start working here at MBR. In fact, I have created a job for him because of the children. I don’t know everything, but God and the universe will guide me. He will get a one-year contract so that he can save,” said the businessman.

Furthermore, he promised to find people to teach Nzisa basic computer skills, as she never went to secondary school and has no certificates.

The 19-year-old said her dream had always been to own a children’s store, and Rose assured her that she would do everything in her power to teach her business skills to help her achieve that dream in the future.

“My request is that he remains faithful and oriented, as he is now. I told him so. And he learns as much as he can and quickly, because without a focused mind, this world can be very difficult. MBR will be a second home for him, giving him knowledge, peace, peace of mind, strength and wisdom. When I’m done with him, you won’t believe it’s the same,” added Rose.
