The MP denied a widely circulated post on social media claiming that he had been arrested.

The post, which went viral on Facebook on March 12, linked the arrest to political tension between Nyoro and the President. William Ruto.

A video shared with the post allegedly showed the MP being detained by police officers, sparking concern and debate among netizens.

What did Ndindi Nyoro say about the arrest?

Nyoro explained that the video was old, from 2019, and had been taken out of context to create a false narrative.

He revealed plans to launch three new laboratories at Karemaini High School on Friday, March 13, as part of ongoing development plans.

“We will launch three laboratories at Karemaini High School in the morning. We do not know the intention of the information to be spread badly; the video is from 2019. I am fine and fine. Thank you all, for your concern,” Nyoro wrote.

Has Ndindi Nyoro been criticizing the Ruto government?

The clarification comes as Nyoro continues to criticize the Ruto administration, especially regarding financial policies and the management of the national debt.

Just two days earlier, he voiced his opposition to the creation of a National Infrastructure Fund, warning that it could encourage more borrowing instead of promoting real development.

He emphasized that the country currently borrows about KSh 1.5 trillion annually, stressing that the increasing debt is increasing the financial burden on Kenyans.

The MP criticized leaders associated with the government, warning that the country is at risk of accumulating unsustainable debt.
