Kapsabet, Kenya: Kenyans have failed to calm down after the President’s photos William Ruto wearing a full school uniform during a party at the school went viral online.
Kapsabet Boys High School was celebrating 100 years since its establishment, and the head of state was invited to share the day with them.
While at the institution, he was named as the guardian of the school, a position he has said he takes seriously and has already started to help make decisions for the institution.
Ruto is a former student of the school who was accepted to study A-Level, and was proudly sent to Solai House, where he spent the rest of his time at the school.
“Where are the people of Solai House?” he stopped his speech to ask, and they responded with great joy after recognizing them.
Although Ruto has been returning to the school for several years, wearing the full uniform brought back many memories, and he said he remembers having big dreams while studying at the school.
Why did Ruto wear a school uniform?
The head of state caught the eye of many with his maroon jacket matched with a school tie, gray trousers, and a crisp white shirt.
He looked like he was right at home, and some people even commented that he looked like one of the students.
“I am wearing a school uniform to show all the children in Kenya that they are important,” he said.
He emphasized that a person cannot connect the dots of his life while looking ahead; he can only do so looking back, and trusting that the dots will connect somewhere in the future.

In other news, in Butere Girls, Kenya’s First Lady, Rachel Rutowho is a former student of Butere Girls High School in Western Kenya, also wore the school’s uniform.
Rachel has visited the school many times in the past and even paid the fees of one student who was in need.
Apart from Rachel, the school has many famous former students who are doing great things at home and abroad.
