Speaking at the event, Nyoro expressed his pride in the new development, saying that it meets the Ministry of Education’s requirements for a safe learning environment.

“We are very happy today because we are opening a new secondary school. We have built all the necessary classrooms. I am very happy and proud because we have named it Mwai Kibaki Secondary School,” he said.

The day secondary school started at a rapid pace, with Grade 10 students being introduced in two streams.

The institute has a laboratory and all other necessary services.

“We also launched a new laboratory built at Gakurwe Primary School for the Junior Secondary section,” he added.

Why did Ndindi Nyoro admire Mwai Kibaki?

The MP revealed that the decision to establish the school was based on Kibaki’s great legacy in the education sector.
