Kenya Power Announces 8 Counties That Will Be In The Dark Tomorrow

  • Kenya Power’s scheduled maintenance that would cause power outages in parts of eight counties on March 11
  • The affected areas include Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Bungoma, Kisumu, Nyeri, Machakos, Kiambu and Bungoma
  • Residents in the affected areas were advised to plan accordingly, as power outages would last between four and eight hours.

The company of Kenya Power and Lighting has scheduled repairs in parts of eight counties on Wednesday, March 11.

The temporary power outage will last between four and eight hours in all the affected areas and its suburbs.

According to the utility company, power outages are necessary for maintenance, upgrades, replacing power lines, and connecting new customers.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.

Which areas will be affected by power outages tomorrow?

Among the affected counties are Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Bungoma, PoisonousKakamega, Nyeri, Machakos, and Kiambu.

Did KPLC launch a new meter reading system?

elsewhere, KPLC launched a new meter reading system to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and speed of meter data collection.

The technology, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), scans meter displays and eliminates the need to manually enter numbers and meter readings.

The company asked consumers to allow KPLC staff access to meters inside their premises, including opening meter boxes where necessary.
